TO IMPROVE DIGITAL EDUCATION & CHILD RAISING!
What GLAD is about
GLAD is a EU project supported by Erasmus plus. It involves educators, project managers and specialists of childcare to support parents in developing strategies and being acquainted with technologies. What we have achieved during the project:
- BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW TECHNOLOGIES IMPACT ON PARENT-CHILDREN RELATION
- SUPPORT PARENTAL CARE AND ENHANCE MEDIATION WITH DEVICES
- THE CREATION OF SIMPLE LEARNING MATERIAL TO IMPROVE DIGITAL MOMENTS WITH THE KIDS
- AN ENGAGING APP THAT PARENTS AND KIDS CAN USE TOGETHER TO LEARN ABOUT DIGITAL EDUCATION
PARENTS & DIGITAL MEDIATION IN EUROPE
This framework includes a first part with theoretical background connected with ICT (definitions of digital skills/competences, profile of digital competences, short information about national systems for digital skills development, description of parental skills connected with digital technologies usage). The second part contains result of qualitative and quantitative research conducted in a group of parents and adult educators. The result of these analyses is the creation of a new digital competence profile for parents and adult educators.
PARENTS & DIGITAL MEDIATION
The purpose of this Handbook is to equip adult educators, trainers, and facilitators with relevant skills and competences regarding the digital education of parents, through encouraging them ways to become more digitally aware and foster a good cooperation and communication system with their children using technology and the media.
This is a compass for adult educators and specialists to enhance their role as facilitators and supporters in guiding parents and carers in establishing stronger relations with their children through and with technology.
You will find rich news and good practices, as well as insightful material that can be interesting to support your everyday work.

Child authorities
We believe that active parenting also means to know who can give good support in terms of resouces, campaigns & safeguard advice on children and what parents can do. You can find here the list of the main child authorities in the partner countries of GLAD project. Following the main discussions and read new policies is always a good way to keep up active parenting 🙂
